Our Founding

Operation Tabletop (OTT) was founded in 2023 by Seth Ewing, inspired by a deeply personal journey that began in 2017 after the devastating loss of his older brother, Torey, to suicide. Struggling with unresolved grief, he fell into a downward spiral, seeking escape through vices like alcohol and video games. It wasn’t until friends, a supportive spouse, and compassionate specialists intervened that his healing process slowly began.

During this time, he found unexpected solace in tabletop games like Dungeons & Dragons. Game nights with friends provided a sense of connection and community, helping to combat the isolation. The profound impact of these experiences became the foundation for Operation Tabletop—a mission dedicated to offering veterans the same support and camaraderie through tabletop gaming.
